چکیده
The development of superior low-temperature catalytic performance and inexpensive catalysts for the removal volatile organic compounds (VOCs) is crucial their industrial application. Herein, CuO/Ce0.6Zr0.4O2 calcinated at different temperatures (Cu/CZ-X, X represented calcination temperature) were prepared used to eliminate toluene. It can be found that Cu/CZ-550 presented highest activity, with lowest temperature (220 °C) 50% conversion toluene, normalized reaction rate (3.1 × 10−5 mol·g−1·s−1 180 apparent activation energy value (86.3 ± 4.7 kJ·mol−1). Systematically, surface properties analysis results showed optimum redox property, abundant oxygen vacancies, plentiful Ce3+ species over associated strong interaction between Cu support could significantly favor adsorption thus resulting in its performance.

Photocatalytic Oxidation Processes for Toluene Oxidation over TiO2 Catalysts
Gas-solid heterogeneous photooxidation of toluene over TiO2 catalyst was studied to investigate the factors controlling the catalytic activities. The toluene photooxidation behavior on TiO2 was strongly affected by the formation and oxidation behavior of intermediate compounds on TiO2, and their accumulation decreased the reaction rate for toluene photooxidation. The formation and oxidation beh...

In this work the development of gold catalysts, essentially based on γ-alumina with small superficial fraction of Ce-Fe mixed oxides as support for the low temperature CO oxidation is proposed. Characterization results obtained by means of TEM, OSC, XPS, UV-Vis spectroscopy and H2-TPR are employed to correlate the activity data with the catalysts composition. The bare γ-alumina supported gold c...

The activities for the vapour-phase oxidation of toluene of various molybdenum-containing catalysts have been measured in a flow microreactor operating at 1 atm pressure. The catalysts comprised (a) unsupported crystalline MOO,, (b) MO oxide monolayers on A&O,, CeO,, TiO,, and ZrO, supports, and (c) Al-, Ce-, and Zr-molybdate salts. The rates of oxidation of toluene per unit surface area on the...

متن کاملToluene oxidation by non-thermal plasma combined with palladium catalysts
The oxidation of toluene in air was investigated using a dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) combined with a Pd/Al2O3 catalyst. When using only plasma, rather low selectivity toward CO2 was obtained: 32-35%. By filling the DBD reactor with Pd/Al2O3 catalyst the CO2 selectivity was significantly enhanced (80-90%), however, a large amount of toluene was desorbed from the catalyst when the discharg...
